Landscape Plants Limited Warrantee

Your success in growing landscape plants is going to depend largely on the care they receive. Quality soil, sufficient water, and proper drainage are all necessary for your plants to thrive.
Landscape Artisan, LLC warrants plants to be true to name and in healthy growing conditions when installed. It is then the responsibility of the owner to supply them with sufficient water during the growing season (April to October) to keep them healthy. It is also the owner’s responsibility not to overwater and drown their plants. All plants are fertilized at the time of installation.
Newly installed landscape plants will suffer transplant shock, particularly during the hot summer months. It is imperative that plants receive proper care so as to minimize stress.
Trees and shrubs are warranted for one year from date of installation and will be replaced once within the warrantee period should they die. Annuals, bulbs and ground cover are not warranted. Replacement of the deceased plant will be with a plant approximate to the size of the original plant at the time of planting. Where it is not possible to obtain an identical size, the best effort will be made to obtain a plant of the nearest size.
In the event a plant of the original type is unavailable, a substitution of a similar plant to the original will be used at the discretion of Landscape Artisan.
Landscape Artisan will make warrantee replacements during the optimum planting seasons : spring and fall. Typically, replacements will take place May 1st through June 30th and September 1st through November 1st. These time frames are subject to change only at the discretion of Landscape Artisan.
Landscape Artisan assumes no liability for replacement of plants killed or damaged by pests, insect infestation, extreme weather conditions (i.e., wind, snow, ice, floods, etc) nor for other condition beyond our control (i.e., drowning, lack of water, fire vandalism, animal/human damage, including contractors or utilities working in the area whether or not it is at discretion of client, etc). Plants experiencing “seasonal die-back” will not be replaced when pruning and proper care will restore them to health. Moving landscape plants from their original location will void the warrantee. Large plant material may require labor and machine costs to replace if they die, due to their location or the access to plant material.
Landscape Artisan cannot warrant against weed growth in mulch or top soil beds due to the germination of dormant seeds prevalent in the soil.
No warrantee shall apply in the event the materials or labor has not been paid for in accordance with the original estimate/contract.

Hardscape Warrantee

Landscape Artisan, LLC warrantees that brick pavers and retaining wall systems are installed following the standards set by the ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute). Landscape Artisan warrantees that the pavers and/or retaining wall system will not fail due to workmanship for three years. The pavers and/or retaining wall system will perform as designed for not less than three (3) years from date of installation. If the pavers and/or wall system do fail, Landscape Artisan will repair the defect without cost to the homeowner. If for any reason, pavers and/or retaining wall systems must be replaced, we cannot guarantee a color match.
Landscape Artisan cannot warrantee causes of failure beyond our control. The following are examples of causes beyond our control: floods, tornadoes, fire, construction, acts of war, terrorism, environmental damages, acid rain, oil spills, grease, discoloration due to sprinklers or watering, snow removal, lawn maintenance, etc (this is not an exhaustive list).
Landscape Artisan recommends cleaning and re-sanding of pavers on an annual basis. This is not required to maintain this warrantee.
